Explanation 

The ureters are muscular tubes that propel urine from the kidneys to the bladder. The top half of the ureters are in the abdominal cavity, while the bottom half of the ureters are in the pelvic area. In an adult human, the ureters are usually from 25 to 30 cm long (10 to 12 inches) and around 3 to 4 mm in diameter (.12 – .16 inches).
