Explanation

General chakra information:

  • “Chakra” literally translates to “wheel’ in Sanskrit. Chakras are swirling wheels or disks of energy that are located at various points in the body. Chakras work as channels for the physical body’s energy.
  • Each of the 7 main chakras should be centered at the spinal column, with a balanced, open and fluid flow of energy. Chakras can become misaligned as well as energetically imbalanced. This is often due to associated imbalances located in the area. An associated imbalance may or may not have an obvious relationship to the chakra’s particular qualities or connected body parts.
  • The Chakras represent different planes of consciousness. The higher the chakra is located on the physical body, the higher the level of consciousness.

The root chakra is located at the coccyx or tailbone.

  • It is energetically linked with the ovaries or the testes and prostate, as well as the anus, colon and adrenal glands.
  • It is associated with the color red.
  • The root chakra is thought to be the foundation chakra. It lends to grounding our energy with the earth, connecting with the physical body, and is associated with the emotions of support and safety, especially within family relationships.

Decoding

You’ve already identified the imbalanced Chakra. Continue to Association.

Association

Ask: Is there an associated imbalance that needs to be decoded?

  • If no, move to Intention below.
  • If yes, return to the home page, decode and address any associated imbalance(s), then return here and repeat the above question.

Intention

Swipe three times with a magnet or your hand on any length of the governing meridian, while holding the intention to reset the root chakra.

  • To help rebalance this chakra, you could consider:
    • Spending time outdoors
    • “Earthing” or “grounding.” Take off your shoes and walk through the grass, or even lie on the ground (where safe)
