Explanation

The muscles of the foot are divided into the muscles on the top of the foot or the:

  • dorsal muscles
    • extensor digitorum brevis
    • extensor hallucis brevis
    • dorsal interossei muscles

and the muscles on the bottom of the foot or the plantar muscles, which are then divided into four layers:

  • plantar muscles first layer
    • abductor hallucis
    • flexor digitorum brevis
    • abductor digiti minimi
  • plantar muscles second layer
    • quadratus plantae
    • lumbrical muscle
  • plantar muscles third layer
    • flexor hallicus brevis
    • adductor hallicus
    • flexor digitorum minimi brevis
  • plantar muscles fourth layer
    • plantar interossei muscles

If you have been guided to this page by the subconscious mind through testing, it indicates an imbalance of some sort is present.

Decoding

Ask: Is it necessary to know what precise muscle is imbalanced?

  • If no, move to Association.
  • If yes, use the above list to determine the muscle (Continue to Association only once you have identified the necessary details).
  • Remember that all the muscles listed above exist on both left and right sides of the body, and you may need to determine which side this imbalance is on.

Association

Ask: Is there an associated imbalance that needs to be decoded?

  • If no, skip to Intention.
  • If yes, return to the home page, decode and address any associated imbalance, then return here and repeat the above question.

Intention

  • Swipe three times with a magnet or your hand on any length of the governing meridian, while holding an intention to balance this particular muscle or muscles. Then retest to see if you were successful.
